THREE DAYS AT THE EDGE 2015
Welcome. This intensive yoga course is designed to train beginning and intermediate students in the fundamentals of Hatha yoga, a holistic practice incorporating yogic tenets (the Eight Limbs), which include physical poses (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation — all promoting physical and spiritual health. ¶ Students looking to become teachers or students simply having the desire to deepen their personal knowledge and practice will find this course informative, practical, and inspiring. ¶ Three Days at the Edge is led by Vicki Vanderlinden, E-RYT-500 (certified through Yoga Alliance) and owner of Yoga with an Edge and the studio’s Nine Months at the Edge, a yoga school and teacher training program. Vicki will be accompanied by Ashley Bartok, RYT-235, graduate of Nine Month’s at the Edge, and current teacher at Yoga with an Edge.
Students of Three Days at the Edge will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
Specific topics during Three Days at the Edge include a Morning Master Class (each morning); Eight Limbs of Yoga: Tenets for a Yogic Life; Asanas: Detailed, Hands-on Alignment & Adjustments; Pranayama: Focused Breathing and Its Purpose; Meditation: Mindful Based Stress Reduction; Inversions: Playing Safely Upside Down & Its Hidden Benefits; Sanskrit Vocabulary for asanas; The Chakra System: Energy Envisioned; The Importance of Core Strength; Learning to Sequence Poses; and Building a Personal Practice.
